Binary™ 540 Series 4K Ultra HD HDBaseT Extender with POC, IR, RS-232 and IP Pass-Through - 330 ft
Extend audio and video signals and gain control system capability over long distances without sacrificing resolution. This HDBaseT™ extender transmits up to 4K@30Hz video (compatible with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2), 7.1 channels of lossless audio, and Ethernet – all up to 330' over a single Cat 5e/6 cable. Bi-directional Power over Cable (POC) eliminates the need to fit a bulky power supply behind the TV, saving valuable install time, while “plug and play” technology bypasses frustrating EQ and EDID settings. Support for 100Mb Ethernet makes streaming Netflix or Pandora on your Smart TVs easier than ever. Plus, you get robust control system integration that includes not only Ethernet, but bi-directional IR and RS-232 as well. Now that s a product that packs a lot of punch!

Important Notices:

HDBaseT No Video
HDBaseT requires that connected equipment support what is known as Clock Stretching. While this feature was a requirement starting with HDMI 1.3, not all HDMI 1.3 products support it, and it was not a requirement for HDMI 1.2, which is still used in many set top boxes and AVRs. No video may appear if the devices connected to HDBaseT extenders do not support Clock Stretching.

Fortunately there is a simple work around that will allow HDBaseT to work with these products. If you don t require 4K, we recommend using an extender like the B-520-EXT-330-RS-IP or B-520-EXT-230-RS.

Power Supply Voltage
Binary HDBaseT HDMI extenders use a 12 Volt DC power supply. Using a different voltage power supply with Binary products will result in damage to the product and possibly the power supply. Be sure to use the correct power supply with the correct product!

Shielded Cable Recommendation
Although HDBaseT transmission technology is much less susceptible to EMI interference than other transmission technologies, if possible, it is recommended that you pull shielded Cat5e/Cat6 with this product for maximum reliability. Please note: for proper shielding, shielded connectors must be used with drains connected at both ends. In addition, “EZ end” connectors are not recommended for use with HDMI extenders.

4K Ultra HD with Full 3D Support
This extender offers full support of 4K@30Hz (including HDMI® with 3D), Deep Color (36bit), as well as support for Dolby® True HD, Dolby® Digital Plus, DTS™-HD Master and LPCM audio formats. This product is compatible with HDMI 2.0/ HDCP 2.2 products as well. This extender supports 4K@30 Hz (4:4:4) and 4K@60 Hz (4:2:0) resolutions.
Please note, 4K support varies by distance and cable type. Please refer to specifications for further details.

Benefits of HDBaseT Technology
The cornerstone of HDBaseT technology is 5Play – a feature set that extends full uncompressed HD video, audio, 100Mb Ethernet, POC (power over cable), and a host of control signals (bi-directional IR, RS-232, Ethernet), all through a single CAT5e/6 LAN cable up to 330 ft. It has greater RF immunity, so you get a better and more reliable signal, plus it's easier to install because you don t have to fiddle with any EQ or EDID settings. Just plug and play and you're on your way to faster and easier media distribution.

Work Smarter, Not Harder

Forget about wasting precious install time running back and forth, fiddling with transmitter and receiver settings, and struggling to get a good picture. With this extender kit there are no EQ or EDID settings required – all you do is plug and play. Now that s smart!

Bi-Directional Power over Cable (POC)
No room for a bulky power supply behind the TV or in a rack? Not a problem. With Bi-Directional Power over Cable (PoC), you can send power over the same Cat5e/6 cable that extends your video, audio, and control signals. This means you only need one power supply - and you can put it at the head end or display to get it completely out of the way. Plus, the extender features screw-down power plugs, so you never have to worry about getting service calls because a plug fell out when the TV was moved. Now those are some real reasons to celebrate!

Complete Control with Bi-Directional IR, RS-232, and IP
Thanks to bi-directional IR and RS-232 and Ethernet, you get no-hassle integration with a variety of control systems, and you can easily send IR signals from the TV location back to cable boxes, DVD players, and other source equipment at the head end. The IR connections feature active circuitry that supports a wide variety of IR and control system types.

IR Flexibility
The Dip switch gives the flexibility of providing power to an IR Receiver when connected to an IR receiver or shut off when connected to control systems.

Built-In ESD and Surge Protection
Intelligent circuit design, perfected through extensive hardware testing, has resulted in a robust product with excellent ESD and surge protection that exceeds CE Level 3 standards. During development, every connection was tortured with an ESD gun and a lightning simulator. They were hit with ESD at 15KV and surges up to 1600V. More importantly, though, they each lived to tell about it!

Removable Mounting Ears
Space is tight. That s why this extender comes with removable mounting ears, making it easier to mount in small spaces – like behind the TV or in a breadbox. Also, the unit is designed for optimum heat dissipation capability so it always keeps its cool.

Easy Firmware Upgrades
You never know what new TV or BluRay player is going to throw you a curve ball. Upgradable firmware gives our software team the ability to update the system to handle any “gotchas.” Just flip the switch on the RS-232 port and upgrade on-site.
